Most corporate briefs that reach us start in the same place. There is a room, a running order, and a worry that the evening will feel flat between the speeches. Entertainment is rarely the reason people attend a corporate event, but it is very often the reason they remember it.
This guide covers what we book most often for business audiences, where in the schedule each act type earns its place, and the practical questions worth answering before you approach any agency.
The four moments that matter
Corporate events are not one continuous block of time. They are a sequence of transitions, and entertainment works best when it is matched to the specific job each moment needs doing.
- Arrival. Guests are drifting in, badges are being collected, and the room is half empty. This is where walkabout acts, living statues and a hosted red carpet do their best work, because they create atmosphere without requiring anyone to sit down and watch.
- Drinks reception. Conversation is the priority, so entertainment should support it rather than compete. Close-up magic, a saxophonist over the DJ, and roaming performers all work here.
- Dinner and speeches. The risk is energy dropping between courses. Short, high-impact interventions between servings reset the room far more effectively than one long set.
- After the formalities. This is where you can be bold. Aerial, LED and full production numbers land hardest once the business part of the evening is finished.

Acts that suit a business audience
Corporate audiences are mixed. You are booking for the chief executive and the graduate intake in the same room, which rules out anything that relies on a single shared reference point. The acts below consistently work across that spread.
- Aerial performance. Our aerial straps act needs only height and a rigging point, and it reliably stops a room mid conversation. Aerial is the single most photographed thing we supply to corporate clients.
- LED and light shows. Bespoke LED shows can carry brand colours and logos in the costuming and choreography, which makes them a natural fit for anything with a brand message attached.
- Magic and illusion. A magician and illusionist gives you a stage moment; close-up magic gives you something that travels table to table.
- Live music. A saxophonist playing over a DJ set is the most requested musical addition we supply, because it lifts the energy without changing the format.
- Hosts and models. Corporate hostesses and models handle registration, guide guests and keep the room moving, which matters more than most organisers expect.
Branding the entertainment
Every act on our roster is available in themed costuming and styling, and for corporate work that flexibility is usually the point. Colourways can be matched to brand guidelines, and for larger productions we build the performance around the message rather than dropping a stock act into a branded room.
Our work on the Herbalife Kick-Off conference is a good example of how far that can go: original vocals, custom music production and choreography built specifically for the client, rather than an existing show with a logo attached.

How far ahead to book
The honest answer is that it depends on scale. A single walkabout act can often be arranged at short notice. A full production number with custom music, choreography and rehearsal time cannot, and neither can anything that needs structural rigging signed off by the venue.
If your event involves aerial performance, book early. Rigging points have to be confirmed with the venue, load calculations checked, and in some rooms the answer is simply no. Finding that out three weeks before the event is an expensive way to learn it.
What to tell us in your brief
The briefs that get the best recommendations back tend to answer five things:
- Venue and room, including ceiling height if you are considering aerial
- Guest numbers and the general profile of the audience
- The running order, and specifically where the gaps are
- Whether the entertainment needs to carry a brand or theme
- Your budget range, even approximately
You do not need to know which acts you want. That is our job. Tell us what the evening needs to achieve and we will come back with a shortlist that fits the room, the schedule and the budget.
